We collected cans at the Oswego Speedway and I've collected water bottles at the park for weeks, so we had an unusually large amount of recyclables to turn in. We ended up with over $7!

My friend Jim and his family took us along to a pre-Fourth party at the gorgeous home of friends who live in very scenic Carefree (north of Phx). Our final night in Arizona, we watched fireworks in the distance (and later watched a fire burn on a nearby hillside). I'd forgotten how many stars you can see in the desert sky.
