Tucson's Day of the Dead Parade

This is Leo and Emily made up for the parade - Leo's necklace and earring have an image of Noah.

Statue of Liberty

The original plan was D.C., but the train was too expensive. Then we planned to go into Manhattan, but thought the weather was too bad. We were planning to go to the Liberty Science Museum, but as we got closer, we thought the weather was nice enough to take the ferry to the Statue. It was actually pretty cold, but we had a good time.

Book report

Alana's book report was posted on the school bulletin board! There were only 6 reports on the board in a school with 400+ students!

SU vs Rutgers game

After the tailgate party in the Temple Concord parking lot, Caleb enjoyed box seats (Onondaga Beverage Company) at the SU dome with Larry. SU unexpectedly won, so Larry was a bit disappointed.

President goes to the dogs

We had fun at the Temple Concord tailgate party prior to the SU-Rutgers game. I didn't notice that I had tied up Roxy in front of the President's sign, but everyone got a huge kick out of this visual.

Tot shabbat

The religious school teacher took this photo and it was featured in the weekly synagogue e-bulletin. Alana is holding the K-1 bear that each child gets to take home for a week (I had to really push her to bring it to the service - she is also holding a small dog that she just got from Grandma Jeannie and she was much more enamored of that) .

Harvest Fest

We had so much fun! A woman offered to take our picture so we could all be in it - how great is that? We are in front of a display of products made in NY state.

I think I bought 5 things - all the rest are Larry's! (The wine glasses are included in the admission price.)

Strong Museum of Play

Since the kids were out of school and I was off of work, and the weather was cooperative, it seemed like the perfect day to finally visit the Strong Museum in Rochester. We started with some lunch in the food court - Subway for Caleb and Taco Bell for me and Alana.

Here are the kids on the Pirate Ship.

Alana enjoyed identifying butterflies.

This butterfly stayed on my shoulder for sevearl minutes.

A gorgeous photo of Cal.

Alana wrote many postcards at the "Post Office."

Meanwhile Cal went shopping (repeatedly!) at "Wegman's" - he scanned several basketfuls of groceries.

Needed - new WCU football

I guess Roxy got bored overnight because this (and a lot of smaller pieces) greeted us in the morning.

At Verona

I took zero photos in Toronto (partly because it was so rushed all the time), but someone else recorded our group dinner at an excellent Italian restaurant on King St.

Daddy's restaurant

As soon as we got back from the BD party, we piled in the car and drove to Watertown for dinner at TRH. Danny met us there.

ACTS Meeting

While Alana was at the BD party, I dashed over to the ACTS (Alliance of Communities Transforming Syracuse) annual public meeting for an hour - just long enough to hold the Temple Concord sign in the ROLL CALL parade.

Another BD party

Alana skipped Sunday school this morning because she was stuffed up and coughing, but by the afternoon, she seemed fine and didn't want to miss Dalton's BD party at the MOST.
