I was too tired to make this soup last night, but, as usual, I woke up long before my alarm, so I got up early and made it this morning. I left out the turnips, I'm not really a fan. But I added celery, just because I have it in the refrigerator and I love it. This is seasoned with cinnamon and allspice, so I hope it's yummy. Recipe from Food Network Magazine.

WRJ fundraiser at Unos

Cal enjoying a big (and overpriced!) bowl of pasta to support the WRJ fundraiser at Unos. The turnout was a bit smaller than last year, but still respectable. We stopped at Kenny's on the way home to have our 2nd ice cream parlor ice cream of the season.

Bake sale item

Giant chocolate chip cookie for the silent auction bake sale at the cub scout banquet on Tuesday night. Should be a hit!

For some reason I took no photos during the seder, which is a shame. The dining room looked terrific and there was a wonderful breeze coming through the windows. The food was amazing and it was a great event. The kids had fun, so it's nice that I documented that.

Walk in the park

It was 80 degrees today, so Alana and I walked barefoot in the park. Very therapeutic!

Gifts from Grandma Jeannie

A huge care package arrived today, very belated Christmas presents. Tons of activity books and stickers and cool carrying cases. Of course Alana was thrilled to get a new stuffed animal. This is Scruffy.
