Back to school shopping SUCKS

I spent all afternoon running errands - I am SICK of shopping!!! And it felt so pointless - the sneakers I got for Caleb don't fit, the healthfood store didn't have the GF food I wanted, and I had to go to SIX stores to find the clear plastic folders that Alana's teacher put on the school supply list. (These lists are absurd - why does a first grader need all this specialized stuff? A clipboard?!) Ugh. The silver lining is that Alana, who was along while Caleb et al went to see the movie Shorts, was a dream.

Alana's journal

Took Roxy for a walk in the park in the late afternoon and Alana brought along her new journal.

She's also wearing her new flip flops that we got to replace the crocs that she lost last weekend.

Beach BD party

Had a very good time at Joshua's BD party at Green Lake. The weather was spectacular. Here, Alana, Abby and Maisie are smearing "mud" on themselves.

Dinner at TRH

Four families and their scouts had dinner at the TRH on Erie Blvd (us, Garrow, Rothman, Eckhardt). Here, Riki & Stav admire the peanuts!

We picked up our Israeli scout at Camp Seneca Lake, south of Geneva, this afternoon. This is Caleb and Jeff, having ice cream at Mr Twistee's on the way back to Syracuse.
